Welcome to AS Media!

1) Why did you choose AS Media Studies?

I want to go to the universities such as Julliard or NYU and I truly think media would benefit me greatly in getting to my dream universities. I would like to broaden my knowledge about various media and maybe to be able to do the renowned 'Photoshop'.  Also animation is something which I would like to hopefully do if my dream of not becoming an Actress


2) Did you take GCSE Media Studies (either here at Greenford or a different school)?


No, I did not.


3) If you answered yes to Q2, what grade did you achieve in GCSE Media? What coursework tasks did you complete? What would you say your strengths and weaknesses were in GCSE Media?

4) What grade do you hope to achieve in A Level Media?


I honestly want to achieve an A/A*. For one, I know if I work hard and really delve into something unknown/new to me, I'll be able to achieve this grade.
5) What are your current thoughts about your next steps after A Levels - university, apprenticeship, work?


I would like to go to universities in the US, the dream, to go to Juilliard, NYU or Brown University and become someone big, like an actress.

6) What do you think the biggest media story of 2016 has been and why?


The news post of the Overpopulation, overcompensation- in pictures which was really thought provoking as it made me think that even when we are using billions of pounds for space ventures rather than our own world collapse. It's just really interesting!!.


Also. the major news of Britain- BREXIT. As it was an extremely big decisions of Britain and the outcome left a lot of people distressed and confused also.

7) What media sources do you use to find out about news and current affairs?


I use my phone, as its always in my hand, the internet (Chrome of course) and news outlets and soemtimes the helpful social media websites i.e Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. 


8) What was the last film you watched?


All of Wes Anderson movies THRICE!!. Also, I watched a classic occult movie called Donnie Darco.


9) What is your favourite ever TV series?


Dexter (classic) but also Girlfriends. 


10) How many hours do you spend online in an average day? Is this too little, too much or about right? Why?


A lot, as my only source of entertainment is my computer. So, I would say about 6 hours which I will be cutting down because of school.
